In the early hours of August 16th, 2025, our dear friend Austin Seever was involved in a devastating car accident that left him with multiple severe injuries. While returning home from taking his beloved fur baby girl, Hazel, for a play in the park, an animal suddenly ran into his path in the road. In an effort to avoid hitting it, he swerved and collided with a fire hydrant. The car rolled over, and tragically, Austin was ejected through the sunroof. As a result, Austin sustained severe injuries. His cervical spine suffered several fractures (broken neck), with one vertebrae being removed during surgery and replaced with pins and rods and fused with other vertebrae. An additional surgery to repair a broken scapula was performed, where he received three plates. He recently had surgery for a tracheostomy due to broken ribs and a lacerated lung. He remains in ICU since the accident, pending acceptance to a long-term spinal cord injury care clinic out of state. Austin has a long road to recovery ahead of him. To help ease the financial side of his medical treatments and essential living expenses during this challenging time, we are coming together to raise funds in his support. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in helping Austin focus on his healing and recovery. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean the world to him and his loved ones. Those who know Austin know that he would want everyone to be aware that Hazel was uninjured and is lovingly being fostered by family members (as are his other animals!).
